Business Challenge
The Problem That Needed Solving.
A US legal marketing platform was buying leads from dozens of vendors, but every lead had to be manually screened against blacklists and do-not-call registries before anyone could act on it. Staff chased emails, cross-referenced litigation databases by hand, and routed leads to call centers through spreadsheets and phone calls. By the time a lead reached the right agent, hours had passed, conversion rates had dropped, and compliance gaps were hiding in the gaps between tools.
Resolving
How We Approached It.
We built an event-driven pipeline that ingests vendor submissions, validates each lead against campaign templates, screens it against litigation and do-not-call lists, and routes it to the correct call center with configurable distribution rules. Every step emits events that sync status in real time to the CRM. When a contract is signed, it automatically becomes a case with all documents attached — zero manual steps from intake to case creation. The whole platform runs serverless on AWS, scaling to demand without idle infrastructure.
Technologies Used
The Stack.
Backend: Python and Go. Frontend: React with TypeScript. Cloud: AWS Lambda. Database: PostgreSQL. Orchestration: Kubernetes. This architecture let each stage of the lead funnel — ingestion, screening, routing, CRM sync — scale independently as serverless functions, while Kubernetes handled longer-running orchestration tasks. The result was a platform that processed leads in seconds instead of hours, with full compliance screening built into the pipeline rather than bolted on afterward.
Development Process
How We Worked Together.
A small cross-functional team worked in two-week sprints with product stakeholders and call-center operations staff embedded throughout. Key milestones: discovery and vendor mapping → event ingestion and validation pipeline → litigation and do-not-call screening → call-center routing with configurable distribution → CRM sync and contract-to-case automation → production hardening and monitoring.
Measurable Results
What Actually Changed.
What changed after launch — measured across lead processing time, compliance coverage, manual effort, and end-to-end automation.
From vendor submission to call-center dispatch (previously hours)
Of leads screened before first contact
Reduction in manual back-office effort
